It's Impossible to Forget...

Description

Not many people know this about me, but I was bullied every day; before, during and after school, from the 1st grade up until I graduated high school.

I would curl up in a ball against the bus window, find the farthest seat away from everyone in my classrooms, walk different routes through the school corridors to avoid people, changed my appearance and was extremely withdrawn. On my way to Sunday school, my classmates would make fun of me and run off all together to leave me walking alone in the middle of the street hoping a car would hit me so I wouldn't have to face them all again.

Years later, living in a bad section of a city finally brought out the anger inside me, and I learned to stand up for myself. I wouldn't take crap from anyone. It wasn't until I had become a manager of an art store that I realized I was a strong person with strong emotions, and I had a LOT of friends. Real friends. I swear it saved my life.

Bullying will destroy a person. It hurts people down to their core, until they believe they are nothing, completely worthless. People die from the intolerances and bullying of others. A part of me died long ago, and although I'm a stronger, more aware person now, it's impossible to forget the horrible way I was treated, and the way that I felt about myself.

Respectfully yours on Spirit Day,
*Aster Crow

Let's just say that the people who bullied you are probably not doing as well as you are. XD

I knew someone who treated me like dirt in middle school, and the last time I saw him (around the middle of 2011), he was running a job at a laundromat (which I think he got kicked out of because I haven't seen him there anymore), had a bunch of tattoos, a few piercings, and probably didn't get into college. ;)

Meanwhile, I'm making art, going to college, developing graphics and story ideas, and creating convention cosplay props! :D

Same for you! You're making amazing art, while some of them probably are wallowing in the long arm of the law!
