When I went to the Stoneham Zoo with my daughter, I got a few decent shots of the mexican grey wolves there and used them as references for this drawing. This original is currently being framed for a gallery. The scanner didn't pick up all the softer details, but you get the idea.

it's great to see you pick up those pencil thingies and still remember which end to
draw with! heh. =P
man, those poor mexican wolves look a bit like our alabama coyotes! no! really!!
i saw one just the other week,...crossing the road. thought it was a big ass fox at
first! cause of their bushy tails. plus, they're pretty much nocturnal. don't come out
much in the day,...especially on a semi-busy road! sorta spooky! it was only about
100 feet from my house!! yikes!
uhm. anyway,...sorry for that blathering fit. again!
oh! btw! how's those sox? those stupid bravos broke my heart yesterday!! 18 innings!!!
