Artist's Comments
This is my final piece for The Moody Blues, famous rock singers of "Nights in White Satin", "In Your Wildest Dreams", and "The Story In Your Eyes".
This piece was commissioned by Live Nation for their Boston 2007 concert series at the Fleet Pavillion by the harbor. This piece will later be displayed at the Boston Opera House with all the other pieces, and later auctioned off. 100% of the proceeds will go through Artists for Humanities to a charity that helps people living in Boston who cannot afford housing. This piece's actual size is 30"x30" and was done completely in 2b pencil (I went through 8 of them, actually) and drawn on deep cradle gessoboard. It EASILY took me over 100 hours to complete, but I lost track of time after a while... probably around 125 hours. Additional artists/information about "Rock and Art": [link] |
